About

Theresa (b.2000, London) works and lives in South London as a dog hair material researcher, artist and photographer. She is a Camberwell College of Arts, UAL graduate and environmental activist with a curiosity for the blend between art and science. Aiming to repurpose the unnecessary excess dog hair going to waste in ongoing material research, she is hopeful in making a change during the climate crisis, one dog hair at a time.

On average, 5kg of dog hair goes to waste every week in only 1 of the many dog groomers in London. With this in mind, it only takes 15 dog groomers in a 2-mile radius to produce an excess mass of 3.6 tonnes of waste contributing to landfill. Too beautiful for the bin, what to do with all that fur? Over the past year, she has collaborated with 50+ dog owners and local dog groomers, collecting their ‘waste’ in hope to redirect it. Promoting an otherwise unwanted material and encouraging it to be repurposed.
