Sample and Cushion

A tactile dialogue between language, fibre and heritage craft. The traditional pattern of ‘houndstooth’ is recontextualised here through
its own etymology, substituting wool with handspun dog hair to emphasise the fibre’s ability to be woven and pressed into
a usable item: the button. Bridging the gap between linguistic heritage and contemporary material design.
